Ethan (Submana)
Submana is a dub and left field bass artist raised in the hills of the Bay Area, where he first discovered his love for music and bass. Having intitally studied bass guitar and soon after, jazz performance, the transition to the dark wubs and subs of the underground bass scene was an easy one. Submana hopes to show his audience the dark and dystopian world he sees as the future, but also glimpses into the beauty that remains. Influenced by genres such as reggae, UK dubstep, and jazz, as well as incorporating themes ranging from religious and spiritual to shadowed and distorted, Submana hopes to give you a glimpse into the future.
Mattias (Skuewd)
Mattias (Skuewd) is a bay area native that started expressing his creativity through bass music in the underground Santa Barbara renegade scene regardless of how chaotic, happy, or sad his sets may be. Music is a life force that allows Skuewd to translate sounds into movement, which is his favorite form of energy manipulation. Skuewd has an uncanny spontaneity of meshing hip-hop and avant-garde electronic music with an unruly characteristic for deep and transformative bass driven music such as freeform, D&B, dub, and trap. Skuewd does not limit himself to a specific genre. He is always working with different grooves and expanding his horizons, producing minimal tech, psy - tech, and more. As one of the founders of WookPack, Skuewd loves telling a story, there is no question that he will take you on a unique yet beautifully intense mirage of sounds.
Jack (Spuqk)
Spuqk (/spoÍžok/) is a riddim producer from the bay area, where he met Wookpack, building friendships with many of the members before and after high-school. Music has always been a driving passion in his life, and his main goal revolves around continuing to produce his signature distinctly dark and tantalizing sound.
Nate (Leblanc)
A 21yo Frenchman living life in the Rockies, Nate Leblanc pushes the boundaries of modern music while making tracks that connect with the human soul. Nate's genre-bending sounds truly have something to lift up any type of listener. Through support for artists ranging from SNBRN and Branchez to Elderbrook, Nate Leblanc provides a fresh and captivating live music experience.
River (Wavefiend)
Wavefiend, also known as River Manochio, is a founding member and dj/producer from San Francisco who started Wookpack in March of 2019 after coming to Isla vista and meeting his best friends there. Hailing from the punk rock scene, River has a great appreciation for high energy, loud and in your face tunes.
Marco (Hermés)
Raised in the SF Bay Area, Hermés draws from many sources of inspiration to implement in his productions and DJ sets. From underground raves to more commercial music festivals, he loves all different kinds of music, but in more recent years has given his heart to the mountains of Santa Barbara. In these mountains you can find all sorts of crazy parties happening, and some of the best curated DJ sets in town. This is Hermés’ natural habitat, and his mixture of hot-tempered basslines, deep textures, and funky melodies make bodies bounce until the sun comes up.
Leo (Lev Markovich)
Russian-blooded DJ Lev Markovich was introduced to dance music from an early age. His childhood home was stacked from floor to ceiling with CDs of everything from ABBA & Desireless to Depeche Mode & Portishead, sprinkled in with iconic jazz musicians such as Miles Davis. The influence of all these different sounds are evident in Lev’s curation and production, taking crowds on a journey from dark, to light, and back. As he transitions to and from these wildly different sounds one thing remains clear, that is the prevalence of obscurity in his selection. Refusing to be typecast into any one genre, Lev takes great pride in his crate digging and wants nothing more than to show people the deepest pockets of dance music.
